In 1949, two entrepreneurs founded the company which later became Abanaki Corporation. The result of their innovations played a significant role in the development of exciting new pollution control solutions for manufacturers worldwide.

Despite the 75+ years since its foundation, our company takes pride in having never lost touch with a rich heritage of innovation, discovery and environmental stewardship. Through the years, Abanaki has emerged as the world leader in oil skimming solutions, serving diverse industries: iron and steel, wastewater, paper, food processing, automotive, environmental remediation, and more.

Growth and development also have their place in our philosophy, and Abanaki continues to take strides on its mission to setting the gold standard in oil skimming—and more! In January of 2008, owner and president Tom Hobson purchased Aerodyne, a company that has manufactured dust collection products for over 60 years. With products ranging from large dust collection systems to low-cost, low-maintenance valves, the addition of Aerodyne and their incredible team give Abanaki further resources to “Clean our World.”

Abanaki’s homebase facility in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, houses state-of-the-art offices and a warehouse built to meet current and future customer needs with an exciting generation of products. The goal remains maintaining the industry standard for performance, productivity and pollution control.

Our staff is important too! Many have been with us for 15-30 years, continually giving us their time, dedication, and commitment to bigger and better ideas about pollution prevention and maintenance. We wouldn’t be here without them.
